Insurance covers the treatment of most skin problems unless they are clearly cosmetic. Except for spider vein treatments, you should expect that your insurance company will provide coverage. However, it is your responsibility to determine that coverage prior to your visit. You should call the Members Benefits phone number on your insurance card, and tell them you want to confirm coverage for the treatment of the problem you are experiencing. If you are unsure, ask them what is NOT covered. Often they exclude some things unless they are 'irritating' you.
Many of the common problems
that over time develop on our skin have treatments which are both effective and
economical. While many problems are simply a bother, others are due to
infections which are contagious (warts, for instance) or can develop into skin
cancers.
We have procedures
which treat most skin conditions that people want or
should have treated. This includes treatments for skin tags, warts in all
locations of the body, lumps under the skin, and both skin cancers and precancerous lesions.
In addition, we treat Spider Veins - a common cosmetic concern - with
sclerotherapy.
